I can't say I was impressed by it. I've just seen most of it done better elsewhere.
I dislike it because of its high hardware requirements. The last thing we need now is for everyone to throw out perfectly decent computers and buy even more energy inefficient ones. |

The government should reintroduce Window tax. Except, well, I'm sure you can see where I'm going with this. |

Interestingly, it's not as bad as I thought it would be Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Don't get me wrong, it's still not right, but it doesn't feel as bad as I thought it would. It feels like XP with some OS X stuff slapped on top, with bigger icons and more eye candy.
It still feels like windows, which is bad.
And, to make things worse, it still has the windows xp startup sound |

It doesn't have to be good or bad, it'll still make MS another fortune and get bundled onto nearly all new computers, so it'll get bought without anyone much thinking about it. |

Oh, and it still amuses me that the first message bubble thing that appears after the install finishes says:
Your computer might be at risk. |

If you want to recreate IE7's zoom function in IE6, paste this into the URL bar: javascriptfunction(){document.body.style.zoom="200%";}()) |
