Does anyone have any experience of this card?

I have it in an A4000 with a 10BaseT MAU, but it just gets receive CRC errors. This indicates to me it's either detected the duplex incorrectly or is faulty. Unfortunately, I don't have another to test, but the RISC PC's, A7000 and A440/1 all work okay with EtherLan 500/600's with identical UniBoots.

Just wanted to check I don't need to do anything specific to get this card working, before looking at getting it replaced.

On further investigation it's not negotiating the duplex and seems to presume the connection is 10/Full.

Is it possible to force the duplex on this EtherLan card to Auto or Half?

Probably not that helpful but my A4000 has the same setup, card and MAU. Does work, nothing else required. Have you checked the contacts? Seem to remember you can do something via commandline to check its function.

edit: does it show up under *podules and *rommodules? Try *help etherH!

It looks like the card only supports 10BASE-T and not 10BASE-Tx as the other i-Cubed cards do. That, or its just not 802.3i compliant or is simply faulty. Hard to tell without another card to compare.

The manual only mentions 10BASE-T, having said that, the same manual covers the other i-Cubed cards and they seem to support 10BASE-Tx.

I don't believe there's a fix for this, so I've purchased another switch.

The command you're looking for is *EHInfo by the way.

Ah well, my Arc is currently in storage at my other place so can't check. Chris' Acorns had all the manuals but I reckon you've found them already
