FA: In superb condition, this is an SA-233 RiscPC, complete with network card, RISC OS 4.02, 1GB CompactFlash card and IDE interface (faster, quieter and more reliable than a hard drive) and lots more. A complete package to get you started with RISC OS or for those looking to get back to RISC OS, especially with the RISC OS Open project in mind.

Computer is in excellent condition. Drive flap works perfectly, feet intact, pegs all there, keyboard and mouse are mint, issue 4 power supply fan looks totally free from dust, battery has been removed to prevent leaking and everything is fully tested. The single slice hasn't even got the CD-ROM plastic slot missing. The Sony CD-ROM drive is included should you wish to install it.

StrongArm 233Mhz
CompactFlash IDE interface
1GB CompactFlash card
Sony CD-ROM drive
Floppy drive
64MB RAM (one module)
2MB Simtec VRAM
RISC OS 4.02 ROMs installed
RISC OS 3.71 ROMs (spare)
I-cubed Ethernet card (RJ45)
Acorn keyboard (newer Aurora style)
Logitech 3 button mouse
Power cable

Also:

I am looking for a RiscPC or an A7000 computer. I used to use them at school and fancy having one on my desk to play around with.

Not too bothered about accessories and the like, other than a keyboard if it was a RiscPC.

I am in the Leeds so could collect or if further afield arrange a courier to collect.

Regards

Dear all,

Our family's Risc PC stopped working a while ago, I believe it's a power supply issue as it won't do a thing. Initially I intended to replace the PSU but have never had the time. We're now about to move house & don't want to move it with us so it's got to go.

Spec is:
- RISC OS 3.5 OS
- ARM 610 processor
- upgraded HDD (Conner 540MB CFS541A)
- original high density floppy drive
- Mozart sound card
- Texas instruments 486 SXL-40 (Aleph One) PC card
- 8MB RAM
- I think 1MB VRAM but can't be sure
- single 'slice'
- no network card I'm afraid
- usual "broken spring flappy cover" endearing feature(!)
- original AKF60 Acorn monitor
- original Acorn keyboard & 3-button mouse
- original Risc PC 600 box(!)

If this is of interest to anyone please get in touch, I've no idea what it's worth but would rather someone who'd make good use of it has a chance to show an interest so am advertising here before posting on eBay.

I'm near Southampton for collection purposes.

Regards,

Chris

Over the next few weeks I shall be selling the following items and thought it worth putting these here before they go on ebay. All prices include postage and packaging.

1 x UniPod with IDE, LAN & USB enabled. In original packaging with software CD (or sent as a zip via e-mail should you prefer); £110

1 x Castle 4 port USB card, Issue; 3 £50

1 x 128MiB RAM for RiscPC; £20

1 x Two slot backplane for RiscPC, £5

1 x 80GiB Seagate Barracuda formatted for RISC OS 4 as 2 x 40GiB partitions. Speed test can be included if required.

All items are tested and working.

This is all in aid of clearing out the RiscPC in preparation for a series of SCSI drives.

Any offers to monty@umpire.com, or just post here.

Cheers,

Edward.
