R-Comp Upgrade day (NetFetch 2, Mpro 3.10, DialUp3)

You wait patiently for buses, and then they all come at once! Yes,
it's Update Day here at R-Comp, with new versions of DialUp3, NetFetch2
and Messenger Pro 3 being sent out today.

Given the mysteries of email delivery, we should probably say "please
allow 48 hours for delivery", but during that time you should see
the following updates:

NetFetch 2.08 (for all NetFetch2 customers)
This contains the latest Hermes which is around twice as fast
at sending emails than previous versions, adds a Hermes-specific
manual, deals with various outstanding problems and more. NF2
itself has various new layouts allowing users more visual choice.

  DialUp3
    Latest Hermes enhancements as above

  Messenger Pro 3.10
This is a major update, adding heirarchical structure to folders
and newsgroups within Messenger Pro. This gives MPro a "tree
view" approach to the way your folders and newsgroups are stored.
As an example, imagine all your stored search results as sub-folders
within a "Searches" main folder. It helps keep your email display
less cluttered, and also provides a more structured approach to
storing your email/news. The new technology is also applied to
newsgroups - for example, if you subscribe to all the comp.sys.acorn
newsgroups, you'll find them all in a "comp.sys.acorn" tree. The
tree view is carried forwards to the Messenger Pro menu structure
too, allowing you to avoid very long lists of email folders.

Of course, we also acknowledge that some users prefer "old school"
ways of working, so this feature can be disabled if users prefer
the flat-file approach that went before.

There are also a number of fixes and enhancements, as well as an
oft-requests "automatic refresh" feature which optionally updates
your message lists "on the fly".

Some users may be thinking "but I only use the simple features,
does this make Mpro more complex?". The quick answer is "no".
You'll benefit from the tree-view approach to newsgroups and
the like, but unless you make use of the new features, they
    are totally transparent.

Mpro 3.10 represents the first of what we hope to be a number
of siginificant free updates for Messenger Pro 3, which is
being released in a "rolling" manner. That is to say, new
functionality is released to users automatically as time
    passes.

these updates (but haven't) then please contact us at rcomp@rcomp.co.uk
