CJE.co.uk to close down?

Posted by Richard Goodwin on 09:59, 22/5/2001 | ,

Well, yes, but fear not - the new address is (www.)cjemicros.co.uk. The "old" site carries an advertising banner about the move, but the new site is up with a different banner. Chris Evans is a bit publicity-shy - he seems to prefer to respond to individual newsgroup postings rather than shout about his services through the usual channels - so this may be one of the few warnings you get.

As to why the change is being made, speculation is that Chris is trying to sell the domain name. Obviously a RISC OS dealer actually trying to make a profit is a new concept for us to get our heads around, but perhaps you'd like to suggest a few places he might try - apparently in the pub after the show there was a brainstorming (=~ drinking) session where such gems as "Columbian Jewel Exporters" were bandied about. I'm sure the TIB readership can come up with better though!

Cambridge Jelly Eaters
Chris's Jaunty Expeditions
and a load of others which I've now forgotten.
