Sales Summary

Posted by Richard Goodwin on 17:13, 7/3/2001 | ,

Various companies have sent us details of special deals, new products etc. and while we don't usually like to post free adverts in the guise of news, a roundup of some of the highlights seems fair.
  • Clares reduce modem pack prices:
Internal V.34 modem, with software (WebsterXL as browser) - £59.95
Internal V.34 modem, with software (Oregano as browser) - £99.95
    External V.90 (56K) modem with software (WebsterXL) - £85.95
    External V.90 (56K) modem with software (Oregano) - £119.95
Prices include VAT but exclude £6 postage. More details at http://www.claresmicro.com/internet/

  • Liquid Silicon, R-Comp have new batch of MIDI interfaces
After around a six month drought, LS have commissioned ESP to produce a new batch of parallel port MIDI interfaces. RCI also appear to be selling from the same batch. Prices start at around £90 inc. VAT.
More details at http://www.liquid-silicon.com and http://www.rcomp.co.uk/.

  • Better printing from R-Comp
R-Comp seem to be turning a lot of attention towards printing, which is one area of RISC OS which is generally accepted to be less than perfect. R-Comp have extended their range of print servers - basically dedicated machines sitting on a network that handle all printing requests. This comes hard on the heels of the announcement of handling new Canon BJC2000 and BJC7100 printers with RISC OS drivers while Explan are closed for a while.

  • iSV March sale
iSV are selling DrawWorks New Millenium and Publish Art 98 are reduced prices. Take a look at http://www.isvproducts.co.uk/ and quote code im-01.
