*has a quick poke around argonet*

I can't find any reference to the script, apart from a different one on the contact page. Are you sure you're even meant to be using that script? Argo may have made it so it only works if the referrer is from their own site, to stop people wasting their bandwidth.
I'll email you the link; I don't think I'm allowed to post it on the forums :)

It should be correct - I copied it directly from the instructions :(
Oh, so it is OK to use it then ;)

mail() docs: http://www.php.net/manual/en/function.mail.php

Example 2 should demonstrate all you need to know for setting up proper reply-to addresses (as opposed to getting the message from Knox/Neo)

Oh, and most of the site is up now; just the Oddball stuff and the PFAQ to do/upload. We might as well make it live tomorrow morning by now, so you've got plenty of chance to check it to see if there's any corrections/alterations/suggestions to make :)

(You can always alter the site yourself as well, of course :))

I like the site - It's well written and looks good. :) I think it deserves a new AcornArcade news item. :o

No, I am; it's just it warns you not to talk about subdomain-type stuff in public :)

Yay :tlsa:! Well, it's in vaguely better shape now :)

I haven't actually tested the layout in anything other than IE6 and Fresco :o

I think I've found what the problem is. There's no mention of what name the message body should be given in the guide you sent me :P

Doesn't matter now though; I should be done in a few mins...

The original #riscos website feedback form :D

http://mysober.co.uk/phpmail.zip

Pretty obvious how to set up (I'm sure you can manage :P) You can use it if you want.

Should be working now - I guess I should have tested it by making it send to my own address, but I can't be arsed :P

:moss: - check your mail, you should have one sent by the form. Incidentally, the 'name' field doesn't appear to have a purpose (Or at least not now). Should it be removed, or should I work out how to add it to the 'from' address (so the mail reader shows the name and the email address, e.g. "bob" bob@somewhere.com?)

I have it :)

I was fiddling ;)

If you've got time, great. But it's not too important :)

Thanks :E

Just tried it in !Browse, !Oregano and Netscape 6.2 - They all display it fine. :)

Well there is one minor thing with !Browse; the little coloured graphics it uses for bullet points in lists are anti-aliased to white. Google uses • to make it look good but IIRC, that doesn't work in !Fresco.

Wow, thanks - you're going to have quite a lot of thank-you's in the Acknowledgement section :)

Yeah, I'll probably stick with the standard way of doing lists. I wonder if there'll be any more versions of Browse? I remember there was talk of one a while ago on the newsgroups, but nothing ever came of it...

Who knows, I may even have a decent site in a couple of hours :o BTW, see the updates section for what I have planned that I can do; not that interesting, apart from the cheats stuff, but still vaguely worthwhile.

Oh, and I'll try and do a full block list for Ego and Id as well...

It should be working now, although I've just spotted a note in the php manual about which headers the mail function actually pays attention to - so it may not work exactly as it should if an old version of PHP is running.

I've already done one of those :P

It's a bit shabby (I tried fitting all three area columns into the same list), but you'll get the idea - I've stuffed it in the files dir.

One idea might be to convert all the level graphics to gifs, then make a nice HTMLised block listing? I could probably knock up a simple version tomorrow.

That's a good idea. If you knocked up a simple version, I could do all the stuff to integrate it into the site :)

Erm, in other words, the easy bit :P

Yes - I'm *hoping* I've got a program to automatically split sprite files/convert a sprite file into seperate gifs. Otherwise I'd end up exporting them all manually :|

I should also be able to remove all the rubbish descriptions, because people will be able to see what's what :)

!InterGif does just that - Tick "Split output".

Gah! ... maybe you mean split one single bitmap into lots of smaller ones. If so you can use SChopper.

http://compo.iconbar.com/misc.htm

If all the bits you want have the same size then use grid lock to splice it up easily.

Just wondering anyone could tell me any advantages of http://banners.iconbar.com/yarm/1.html over the image being all as one?

No, seperating all the sprites in a sprite file.

OK. InterGIF can do that then. It can also turn them into GIFs in the same opperation.

I'm taking a rest this evening BTW; most of it's done, and I've been working on it all day, and most of last night :o

It can go live tomorrow morning though, so you can all check it over when I upload the final couple of pages. We can always add the new Asylum block listings the next day, or later; the site'll be put off endlessly otherwise :)
