Adrian - what were the results of the Aemulor tests again? They seem to have gotten lost due to the forum crash :|

Can you also try out DarkWood for me? :)

OK, I've just run through the games again:

Working
-------
Cycloids
Gyrinus2
Asylum Demo
Chaos Demo (*AO)
Ixion (*AO)
Tron
Ankh Demo (both ankh.zip & ankhd.zip)
Fish
BotKiller 1
TwinWorld
IronLord
Marsquake, no sound
Moonquake
Kryten98
SimCity2000
ArcElite
RailPro
Terramex
SpaceTaxi
Tanks
Syndicate Demo

Not Working
-----------
DarkWood
Phaethon
MICE
XmasTanx
Exodus
Swarm
Infest

If I've missed any key games on your downloads page let me know, I haven't tried them all yet.

We've tested quite a few more (esp. with Ian Hamilton's help) and I've finally updated the database (www.aemulor.com/compat.php) if you're interested in other games.

Listing those 'apps' which only work under Pro is a good way to isolate those games that work.

Adrian

*AO needs *Audio Off. There's an obscure problem in the sound handling that affects a couple of games; just looking into it now.

You may ask.

As it goes, I finished off the beta test release yesterday and it's been uploaded for our helpful volunteers (who'll be getting an email shortly)... then it's essential fixes only - chiefly PacMania so that I can play it again! ;)

I have it on the authority of one tester that Big Bang works too. Thought you'd like to know since I remember you writing some programs for it.

Well, DarkWood's running now. BUT it's mute! Which is annoying me because I've just gone to the trouble of implementing *undocumented* behaviour upon which its sound module relies, and been rewared with a deafening silence!

*sulks*

Hmm. Does the music work in the updated version I uploaded to Acorn Arcade? (aka the version with the music in it :|)

Hmmm, it turns out that I did get the sound working before Pro release anyway. I just didn't realise I'd fixed it! :frown:
