Hmm - first a temporary lull in news articles, now they've gone completely |

It's scheduled downtime - there was a news item about it earlier. One of the servers on prowl.org died suddenly, and the other (which drobe is hosted on) is getting an upgrade at the same time. Should be back online tomorrows. |

Hmm - first a temporary lull in news I had a degree to rescue, sorry.
now they've gone completely As Phil says, one of the machines that hosts Drobe finally died. Ian's going back and forth to where the servers are co-located to replace and upgrade them over the next day. A note appeared on drobe around 6pm, but then everything went offline around 7:30pm.
Chris. Just me. Just woken up |

Well, this is something that should make Iconbar and Drobe wish that I was looking after them:

(and it's not fake) |

(and it's not fake) It's not particularly loaded, I'd have to admit though |

(and it's not fake) It's not particularly loaded, I'd have to admit though I would have had two year's uptime before the memory and hard drives went. Except the ArgoNet sysadmin kept turning off my machine and moving it, without warning me. Which is probably why the hard drives failed. It did do over 365 days at one stretch though. ________ Cheers, Rich.

If you think I had problems, ArgoNet can't keep mail up and running. And they have multiple servers! ________ Cheers, Rich.

If you think I had problems, ArgoNet can't keep mail up and running. And they have multiple servers! Maybe it's because I'm not there any more |
