RISCubes now with 7-in-1 camera media drives, AND floppy drives

We are pleased to announce that all high spec RISCube machines are now
shipping with a combination 7-in-1 media card reader, AND traditional
floppy drive. This allows discs used by digital cameras, PDAs and
some MP3 players to be inserted straight into the RISCube, just as
you would floppy discs, and read the discs via RISC OS (or windows
if you prefer).

The drives are also traditional floppy drives, which mean that you
can continue to use all your existing floppy disc software and
save your work onto floppy. But you can also use high capacity
media discs too!

The drive supports CompactFlash types 1 and 2, Microdrive,
SmartMedia, Memory Stick, Multimedia card and Secure digital,
and can be used direct from RISC OS, making connectivity with
your camera (etc.) a breeze.

R-Comp Interative's RISCube machines provide hybrid computers
capable of running both RISC OS and Windows software at high
speeds. Offering high resolution/colour depth options, coupled
with excellent image quality (and digital graphics outputs for
use with LCD monitors if required), RISCubes are ideal for graphics
and multimedia work, and the inclusion of these media drives
enhances this further.

Commenting on the inclusion of of these drives, RCI's Andrew
Rawnsley said, "We are very pleased to include these drives in
the RISCube machines, because they provide the forward-looking,
and incredibly useful media drives, without sacrificing the
tradition floppy, on which so many RISC OS users rely. They
really do seem ideal for RISC OS users."

RCI is making no additional charge for these drives in new
high spec RISCubes. They are, however, a low cost option on
the most entry level machines in the range.
