RISCWorld Volume 4 Issue 6

Hi,

Just a quick note to alert subscribers (and non-subscribers) that
the next issue of RISCWorld (Volume 4 Issue 6) is currently in
the hands of the Post Office, and so could be delivered any week
now.

RISCWorld is the bi-monthly CD based subscription magazine for
RISC OS users.

As is usual this issue (being the last of a volume) contains all the
previous 5 issues as well as the new issue 6 on one easy to lose
CD. So what can our readers look forward to?

Well we have the next part of our BASIC V book serialisation.
A full free copy of ProArtisan, plus an HTML manual.
Southwest Show report (and video)
RISCCube review
Iyonix Welcome Guide and StarFighter 3000 Iyonix reviews
An introduction to Genealogy online
Conclusion of our series on overclocking StrongARM processors
QBASIC to BBC BASIC translation
A new series on the principles of website design

We also have all our regular columns including PD Software,
Games, Letters, DISCWorld. News etc as well as the low
quality land fill that is the Hugh Jampton column. We are
also starting a new Iyonix column* this issue.

(*In case we get accused of bias I should point out that a VirtualAcorn
column will hopefully be starting in Volume 5 Issue 1.)

Subscription rates

We also have some new subscriber offers to tempt in more new
subscribers including a subscription to volumes 4 and 5 for a measly
£29 (£31.50 outside UK) or a complete set of Volumes 1 to 5 for
a the ridiculously low price of only £40 (£43.00 outside UK).

The rate for existing subscribers has regretfully had to increase
to £21.90 (£24.50 outside UK) due to increased production costs
(cigars, champagne etc) as well as increased editorial spending
(cigars, champagne etc) but we still think that RISCWorld offers
excellent value, especially as we include full versions of
commercial software with every issue (indeed over the coming
months subscribers will be treated to WebFX3D, SiteWriter
and lots more).

RISCWorld, the magazine that asks "..why do they advertise
psychic fairs?"
