Btw, drank half a bottle of scotch last night and dreamed up a Highlander style epic ;)
I drank a few too many brews one night and thought I *was* Highlander! :) Still have the scar on my arm where the pointy bit of my supposedly blunt sword pranged me. And a hole in the old sofa.

Hastily changing the subject - have you finished that other book you were writing yet?
Hell, no. I'm about half way.
Half through what? the first chapter. :E
Long chapter if it is: 52,841 words so far.
What book's that then?
Sci-fi saga if IIRC.

Was Sean Connery in it. :E

So, let me get this straight -

You got drunk, attacked your sofa with a sword.
Then you replaced it with a younger model.

What a nice guy :P

Be warned, your sofa is now entitled to half your house and a percentage of your salary ;)

I think I mentioned the drunkeness. Do you really think I was capable of attacking? It was more of the waving, and then the dropping.
Then you replaced it with a younger model.

Um, it was five years old by the time I replaced it. That's, like, over 100 in sofa years. And it's still in the living room, just not in prime TV watching space.

I said this? What was I on?! In fact what was I doing buying scotch anyway :|
I remember losing track of the amount of scotch and being annoyed at myself for doing so but the Highlander must have been an exaggeration. I think I meant I wanted to write a story as good as that or something ;)

Thank God for the concept of tee-total that's all I can say.

Anyhow, CSI is on tonight - thanks for the reminder Phlamethrower ;) (http://www.iconbar.com/forums/viewthread.php?threadid=6487)

When I've been playing Angband for more than a couple of days I end up carrying on in my sleep. I've cleared out several evil vaults in dreamland - and properly too, so I could find my way out along the tunnels even when my light source ran out.
Yup. I used to get that, too, although I've not played Angband in a long time.

Civilization was a bad one for that, too.
