Pace on the Prowl

Posted by Alasdair Bailey on 12:59, 4/7/2000 | , ,

Pace have issued a press release confirming the popular belief that they are indeed embarking on an aggressive recruitment drive to add to their engineering base in Cambridge. Their cambridge office which specialises in internet set top box and embedded technology was once part of Acorn Group and much of the development work will be going into NC OS, the RISC OS off shoot.

Last month saw the launch of a new television set with built in internet capability thanks to Pace's ARM based technology. Pace hope to continue to lead information appliance markets at home and abroad with plans for future devices to include such things as built in cable modem technology for connection to high bandwidth internet in the home.

It was recently confirmed by a reliable source that all three of RISCOS Ltd's full time engineering staff (including Matthew Bullock and Justin Fletcher) have indeed moved across to Pace. No official line from RISCOS Ltd. has yet been given out.

See the press release in full at http://www.pace.co.uk/news/pr/0630Cambridge.htm.
