The reason I had to edit that post is another little niggle that could be looked into.

The : angel : smiley - when entered in that form, and you click preview, it is altered to O : ) in the text box below the preview. This, according to the list of smilies is an alternative format for it - but if you post with it in that form you get an O followed by a plain smiley, as in: Osmile
