Note that there are multiple sheets. Corrections and insights are welcome.

It should probably be stated that the 'years' in the first sheet are the reporting year, e.g. 2000 is Jan 1999 to Jan 2000. So it appears off by 11 months ...

This spreadsheet has been updated with the most recent accounts, made available today. ROL's profit and loss is positive! OMG! They do seem to have a hugely valued "stock" though. One assumes this is a bunch of pre-burnt CD-Rs of Select. It also looks like it's the largest profit they've ever made. One assumes this is due to spending next to nothing on development, and still stinging customers. Regardless, the over-all trends spell terror.

(The pretty graphs and such probably only work in modern, standards-compliant browsers.)

They're very pretty.

About the news group activity; presumably that's general activity on the news groups, not specific to ROL? Otherwise, we were talking about ROL in 1991.

Could you do the same for, say, Acorn and Castle?

Does anyone know why Pace only took a 19.9% share in ROL and not a round 20%? I think I was told that some law or (accounting?) regulation or something kicked in at that point.

The accounts of companies that another company has a Holding of 20% or more in, are required to be included in their own accounts. So a lot simpler if it can be avoided.

One assumes that Castle Technology Ltd. must include ROL's accounts in their own, then? Might be interesting to get hold of that data.

Something ROL appear to be frequently guilty of that, too.
