I just came across this, thought it fitting as RISC OS has officially been released for the Pi!

It's their 'first development arm machine'

apparently ~ 35x faster than an IBM PC and ~ 20x faster the the BBC Master

and benchmarks 3x faster than a 80386 RML Nimbus

27:20 is of interest.

Loved the BBC basic demo - in fact we've been using it at the Raspberry Jams to show just how easy BBC basic is to use...
