I was wondering if there is a high-res version available? Maybe inside the select private area? (I have just subscribed, and not received my details yet) I'm considering making some cool mugs with RISC<cogwheel>S printed on it. Anyone interested? I guess I'll email ROS Ltd for the graphic |

There's some links at the bottom to Artworks and Drawfile versions of the graphic. It's not there any more. No staying power, some websites!
Are they (or something similar) still available, somewhere? |

A few years ago, I created a ROL cogwheel for the Midlands User Group. It's in ArtWorks format and you're welcome to have a copy. You can download it here:

I think that will have been removed before Paul's death in 2009. |

Official versions of most RISC OS graphic items can be obtained by emailing Richard Hallas (designer) and simply requesting.
AFAIK Richard retains copyright on most designs, since that's how copyright works for graphic designers. Unless they specifically sell the copyright, they retain it and permit customers to use their designs.
It is easy to forget such things, but generally best to go to the source, to avoid causing upset / frustration needlessly. |

Thanks for that advice, Andrew. As a result, I've removed it from my pCloud account. |

Sorry John, I didn't mean to stop you doing anything - it wasn't meant in that way.
More that people tend to forget or gloss over Richard's contributions, or modify them in odd ways (eg. ROOL's version has a circular central hole, rather than the original octagon which actually stems from the PRMs!).
I think sometimes it is worth contacting original designers/authors because it can keep them involved in what's going on, and this can be good for the scene. |

Sorry John, I didn't mean to stop you doing anything - it wasn't meant in that way. Not a problem Andrew. I didn't read anything into your comment which you hadn't intended. Making the image available was only meant to be a transient thing anyway. |

FWIW, I contacted Richard, and he couldn't have been more helpful.
There will shortly be a rather sad* demo of four processor cores running RISC OS (specifically the DrawMod) independently.
*Sad because: one core aborts, and the cache flushing code doesn't work!
I'm hoping many eyes will help. |
