It's my birthday today.
I just bought a house, I move in tomorrow.
I started a new job this week.
All of the above is true.
Fucking beat that lot, losers! </bandwagon>
OK, so to bring balance to the force:
The house purchase nearly fell through several times this week, leaving me a gibbering wreck for most of it.
I've got (literally) bloody great gashes on both hands where I tripped over running for the bus so I could get to the lawyers to salvage the house buyage.
I did this right in front of my new job's offices.
I'm several grand lighter in the bank balance. ________
Cheers, Rich.

Anyway happy birthday.

Happy birthday
I'm in London for the weekend, sadly (don't like London much), but the conference I'm attending will hopefully be fun. |

It's my birthday today. happy birthday...
OK, so to bring balance to the force: I can do that, too.
I cut my hair earlier this evening. Yes, I cut my own hair. It's cheap.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find the mirror I usually prop up behind me so I can see the back of my head in the other mirror. So I've made a bit of a balls up of it.
It's not a major disaster, but it's quite plainly a balls up.
Ho hum. |

Well, the laptop hinge might be superglue-able, but the damage to my right hand feels like my sex life will never be the same again...
Oh, you mean pics of the house? That'll have to wait until tomorrow. ________
Cheers, Rich.

Well, the laptop hinge might be superglue-able Ah, my friend has exactly the same case design. Yes, the hinge has gone pop. Four times.
I'd avoid supergluing it, in case you have to send the machine back for a different reason. Mind you, the last time it came back, they'd stuck part of the hinge cover on with double-sided sticky tape after the clips holding it in had snapped off. It fell off after two days. So you can probably get away with what is clearly a hack, since their own engineers do the same thing, except with even less suitable materials. |

I'd think about epoxy resin instead of superglue - it's normally much stronger. |

This is rather fab. Ah, Green's Windmill! I used to go there when I lived in Nottingham and I was a kid. Great fun - loads of sciency play stuff there, and you get to see how a windmill works too. And a brilliant adventure playground... |
