Post show catchup

Matt Cook was also wandering around the show with a camera it seems, and took these pics. Scroll down to the bottom. Yep, right there, see those RiscStation prototype pics? Woohoo! Ta Matt.

Grapevine is, apparently, not the only multi-protocol instant messenger program for RISC OS. Russell Palmer sent a link to info about his own forthcoming program, natter. The nicely designed website gives details of what should be included in the finished product, and beta testing is apparently due to start in June. Watch this space...

Apparently I forgot the Castle stand in the show report, thus missing out on the news about its 4 port USB podule (out ahead of the Simtec card, although I'm sure these things are not a competition ;) ). This was due to a lack of time at the show, not any sort of conspiracy! Obviously I'm trying to get more info on this product and will post a proper news item accordingly.

And finally, I hear rumours of Select running on a RISC OS 3.6 machine, although I'm not sure that it's an official product. Anyone with more info?

Unregistered user /me wonders about a /. "everything" type system so key words and phrases would get flagged up with a link to info, contact details etc.

Unregistered user The portable's pretty nice, but what's that development board and screen on the RS stand with an ATX arrangement of connectors on the side?

Unregistered user That's, uh... the portable. The one in the case runs windows. The 'thing' you describe is allegedly their proto board running RISC OS... why don't they put it in a case? That depends on who you ask.

Unregistered user I've started work on the info link thing - little pop-up boxes to tell you about a company or product. What do you think?

Unregistered user The info seems OK, but I'm not too sure about having [?]'s next to each keyword. How about some kind of different style of link, i.e. green text?
